We inspire kayakers to discover and explore islands of the Maine Island Trail. We encourage good stewardship of our pristine ocean environment. We aim to offer the best sea kayak trips in the Deer Isle - Stonington - Blue Hill Bay region. One-day and multi-day trips for experienced and novice kayakers around islands of the Maine Island Trail. All-inclusive - top of the line kayaks & camping equipment & organic food on multi-day trips. Small groups - from two to four paddlers Training for novice kayakers. Overnight accommodation at our Kayakers' B&B. We are an advocate for a sustainable environment and stewardship of these unique island treasures.

Driftwood Kayak offers sea kayaking excursions, workshops, and individual lessons to new and seasoned kayakers of all levels and skill-sets. Trips and packages take place on the pristine coastline of Stonington and Deer Isle, Maine. Instruction is given by Peter Jones, a registered Maine Guide in Sea Kayaking, an Instructor in Coastal Kayaking (ACA) and a Wilderness First Responder (SOLO). He is also affiliated with the Maine Association of Sea Kayaking Guides and Instructors, Maine Island Trail Association, American Canoeing Association, Maine Tourism Association and Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities. Driftwood Kayak offers the opportunity to try out "Epic Kayaks" and works closely with North Coast Kayak in Lincolnville, ME a local dealer of the brand.
